EV4ER (Electrical Vehicle for Energy Revolution) is a research and development project on bidirectional electric-vehicle charging, carried out with the contribution of Regione Lombardia's ERDF Regional Programme 2021-2027, Collabora & Innova call.
Summary
Bidirectional charging: the electric vehicle as an active node of the grid.
EV4ER develops an infrastructure for bidirectional electric-vehicle charging (V2G, V2B, V2H): vehicles do not only draw energy from the grid, they can also return it when needed, helping the grid handle demand peaks and the variability of renewables. The goals are to reduce grid costs through vehicle flexibility, increase household self-consumption of solar energy, and reach charging-infrastructure prototypes compliant with ISO 15118-20, tested in an operational environment. Adeo develops the user application, the control-hardware management software and the monitoring data platform.
